Farm Tours the best deal in the County!

In these days of high gas prices and small budgets, the Portage Park District has just the prescription for County residents:
Farm Tour days on Sunday, June 22 and later this summer, Sunday September 28, from 12 noon until 4:00 pm. Each Tour Day, several farms will be open for activities, tours, and sales of luscious locally grown fruits, vegetables and more.

“These farm tours really highlight the heritage of farming in Portage County,” says park Executive Director, Christine Craycroft. “We enjoy working with the Farm Bureau to promote our local farmers and agriculture.”

Below are the farms and addresses for the June 22 Tours. On the September date, in addition to the farms listed, these will also be open for the Tour: Beckwith's Orchard, Lucky Penny Farm, Renewable Lubricants, Stotler's Orchards, Viking Vineyard, Daybreak Lavender and Goodell's Farm & Market.
