Wild Hikes Challenge!

The Portage Park District is pleased to announce its first annual hiking series, the “Wild Hikes Challenge,” designed to showcase the beauty and diversity of the natural areas in Portage County. Learn more.

Parks, Trails and Greenways Plan

A year-long planning process resulted in the current plan that joins scientific natural resources data with community input from planning meetings across the county.  The draft plan shows existing parks, trails and conserved areas, along with proposed greenway conservation corridors, off-road trails and on-road trail routes.  The final text of the plan will include identified recreation needs and criteria for siting additional parklands.
