Streetsboro-Aurora Meeting May 23, 2007 Statement
of Intent for Community Planning Meeting Concepts: The
following maps are concepts that were developed during the community meetings by
the audience with facilitation from the professional staff. Each group started
with broad issues and then slowly focused on more detailed community issues
(time permitted). These maps are interpretations of what was discussed during
the breakout session and are meant to be used with the notes from each group to
fully understand the ideas that were explored. While many ideas were discussed
for each group, many more ideas could have been pursued if there was more time
for this exercise. Thus, these concepts should be considered complete for the
time allotted but not comprehensive to all of the ideas that could be explored
for the study area. Therefore, there is no perfect solution yet for the study
area and there may be concerns for some of the ideas proposed.
The
maps, with all of the concepts, will be considered for one “idealized” concept
for the study area. It is at this time that all of the issues and ideas discussed
during the community meeting will be formalized into the best proposal for the
study area. This proposal will be developed at the conclusion of the community
planning meetings and will then be used to help build the framework for the
